Awards & Recognition

FORT WAYNE, IN — Essex Solutions is proud to announce that its ECOR Rod & Foundry facility in Columbia City, Indiana, has successfully completed The Copper Mark Assurance Process and renewed its status as a The Copper Mark assured site.

The validation follows an independent third-party assessment of the facility and recognizes ECOR’s commitment to responsible production practices, including environmental stewardship, employee health and safety, and strong business practices.

“Achieving ‘The Copper Mark’ is a significant accomplishment for the ECOR team and reflects the commitment they bring to our operation every day,” said Jared Rowntree, President, North America, Essex Solutions. “The discipline, collaboration and focus on continuous improvement demonstrated throughout this process speak to how this team operates, and I’m proud of the work they have done to reach this point.”

ECOR plays a key role in Essex Solutions’ North American manufacturing network, processing copper that supports magnet wire production across the region. By integrating this capability within our operations, Essex Solutions maintains greater visibility across critical stages of production while strengthening connections between material expertise, manufacturing capabilities and quality control.

“The Copper Mark provides a recognized framework for demonstrating responsible practices and greater transparency across the copper value chain,” said Chloe LaPorte, Global Corporate Sustainability Manager, Essex Solutions. “For ECOR, completing the assurance process provides independent validation of the work already taking place at the facility while giving our customers and other stakeholders greater visibility into an important part of our supply chain.”

As expectations for supply chain transparency and responsible sourcing continue to grow, independent assurance provides customers, procurement teams and sustainability professionals with greater insight into the practices behind the materials they depend on.

The Copper Mark Assurance Process evaluates performance at the individual site level, with ECOR’s recognition applying specifically to the Rod & Foundry facility in Columbia City.

The recognition further reflects Essex Solutions’ continued commitment to responsible manufacturing, transparency and continuous improvement while acknowledging the ECOR employees whose work made it possible.
